Whether you're new to coaching flag football or a veteran, we're here to support you. BA League is 100% volunteer-run — coaches, team managers and board members who make youth flag football happen in Westlake, Loxahatchee and The Acreage.

New to coaching? Start with our flag football drills & practice plan.
What we ask of coaches
- Follow BA League and NFL FLAG philosophies, coaching guidelines and codes of conduct
- Make every effort to give all players equal playing time
- Wear the BA-issued volunteer shirt at games
- Only run league-scheduled, league-approved practices
- Communicate with players through a parent or guardian — never directly
- Report any injury that needed medical attention within 48 hours
Safety first
Every coach and volunteer 18 or older must complete and clear a background check before stepping onto a practice or game field. Volunteer coaching positions are for one season, so apply each season you would like to coach.
Ways to help
Head or assistant coach
Lead practices and game days for one team. No experience? We will help you get started.
Team manager
Keep families informed, organize snacks and photos, help on the sideline.
Game-day & board volunteer
Help at the board tent, with setup, events and fundraising. Our board holds open meetings for league members.
